Best Meat Grinder

When you’re on the hunt for the best meat grinder, there are a few things to consider before making your purchase. There can be large price gaps between grinders, and you may be able to find the meat grinder that fits your needs at a value price. Before buying, consider what you’ll be grinding, how often you plan on using your grinder, and if attachments and frills take precedent over pure functionality.  Keep in mind you can grind more than just meat!  Some grind raw bones (never grind cooked) for their dogs, prepare sausage and even use your grinder for veggies and cookie dough.  Today we’ll be breaking down five meat grinders and give you our overall winner and our value grinder. Let’s dive in!

Gourmia

  • Heavy duty plastic housing
  • 3 stainless steel grinding plates
  • 1 sausage stuffer
  • Kibbeh attachement
  • 500W / 1000 W max output
  • One-button controlled
  • Not dishwasher safe

The Gourmia meat grinder is an entry level meat grinder offering versatility at a reasonable price. It comes with three stainless steel grinding plates and a sausage stuffer, along with a kibbeh attachment.  In case you are unfamiliar, a kibbeh attachment is to form a casing for meat, most likely for lamb, and is then stuff with a spiced filling usually found in Middle Eastern dishes.  This grinder could easily handle minor workloads and for the someone looking to get into grinding their meats at home, this grinder would serve them well.

Kitchen Aid Attachement

  • Attaches to Kitchenaid mixers

The Kerome meat grinder attachment is a sturdy device made from stainless steel and easily mounted to any Kitchen-aid stand mixer. The Kerome comes with 3 grinding plates and 2 sausage stuffers. The parts are not dishwasher safe, but it does come with a cleaning brush to make clean-up a little easier. The Aobosi meat grinder is an excellent mid-range meat grinder. This grinder doesn’t come with any frills but lacks no necessities, and gives you everything you need to begin or continue your meat grinding at home.

Gideon

  • Hand powered
  • Plastic housing
  • 2 gidning plates
  • No sausage stuffers
  • Dishwasher safe

The Gideon hand grinder is a viable option alongside its electric counterparts, and can offer some advantages over them as well. If you want to grind while camping or in a getaway cabin while hunting, a hand powered option may be convenient and needed for your situation. The downsides are that it is made from plastic and comes with only 2 grinding plates and no sausage stuffers. If you plan on stuffing sausages, this grinder simply will not do that for you. That being said, if all you’re looking for is a grinder to make burgers or mince veggies, the Gideon hand grinder will do just that. Plus, almost all the parts are dishwasher safe, making clean up exceptionally easy.

All of these meat grinders serve the same purpose, but we believe some of them set themselves apart from the rest. Our value winner is the Gourmia meat grinder due to the price point for the output capability. Like we stated earlier, it can handle small workloads with ease, comes with a few basic attachments, and should serve anyone looking for an entry level meat grinder very well. Our overall pick for the best meat grinder, however, is the STX meat grinder. The biggest advantage and selling point of this grinder is the foot pedal.  Sausage makers, this one is for you!  Plus anytime you are dealing with raw meat, having a way to control the power without your hands is a big plus.
