When you’re looking for a barbecue set, there are a couple things to consider: one, what do you consider your essentials; and two, quality vs. price. A lot of large cooking sets are filled with tools you may never use and you pay the price for that. You can save money by recognizing you may only need a small handful of quality tools instead of a case full and only use a few.
In this article, there are four different barbecue sets, each one a perfect set for certain buyers. Hopefully we can find the right set for you! Let’s get started.

No travel case
The Alpha Grillers BBQ set is the most costly set on this list, and also has the fewest items. But don’t let this steer you away. The slightly higher price tag is backed by heavy-duty stainless steel and higher quality construction than the other sets on this list. This set includes tongs, a fork, a spatula and a basting brush.
If you notice the tongs, you can see how they’re connected by a sort of hinge mechanism. In my opinion, this gives you more grip and control on your food over tongs that are just a rounded piece of metal.
This set, while ultra-minimal, has all your essentials. I would argue that you don’t need much else, especially if you’re getting started in the grilling world. These tools are of a superior quality, and even though they may cost you a little extra, they are definitely worth the money.

Aluminum travel case
The ROMANTICIST BBQ set includes the most tools at a very reasonable price. It includes:
a 4-in-1 spatula, tongs, fork, cleaning brush, all purpose knife, silicone basting brush, eight corn holders, and four kabob skewers, all neatly stored in an aluminum travel case. It also comes with a cooler bag, and all items are made from stainless steel.
This set has nearly anything any new griller could want or need. I will say the quality may not be as high as the Alpha Grillers, but that is to be expected considering the price and the amount of tools you’re getting for that price. This would be my suggestion to anyone wanting a large set of tools at a reasonable price!

Aluminum Case
The VonHaus BBQ Grill Set is very comparable to the ROMANTICIST grill set above, but it comes at a slightly higher price. It includes: a spatula, tongs, fork, cleaning brush, all purpose knife, silicone basting brush, eight corn holders, and four kabob skewers. All tools are stainless steel, and it also comes with an aluminum carrying case. The main difference between this set and the ROMANTICIST is that the VonHaus corn holders have plastic handles (instead of fully stainless steel) and the VonHaus spatula isn’t a 4-in-1 spatula (does not have double-sided serrated edges, bottle opener).
In my opinion, the ROMANTICIST is a better deal, as it is not only slightly cheaper, but is of a bit higher construction quality than the VonHaus. Deciding whether this set vs the ROMANTICIST is the one for you will just require assessing the tools and seeing which set looks more appealing to you!

Essentials, but less costly
The Home Complete BBQ Grill Set is similar to the Alpha Grillers set but is offered at a lower price. This set includes a fork, spatula, two skewers, cleaning brush, tongs and come fitted in a carrying case. Like the other sets on this list, they’re made out of stainless steel.
They aren’t of as high of quality as the Alpha Grillers, but you get an additional two tools (two skewers and a grill brush) and save money. This would be a great set to have with all of your camping or tailgating supplies.
Conclusion
Each of these sets are perfect beginner BBQ sets, especially if you don’t want to spend the time piecing a set together yourself. One thing to be mindful of is what you’ll be grilling, and if you need all that comes in the larger sets. My overall winner would be the Alpha Grillers set due to the superior quality. In my opinion it has all you need to grill most anything. Personally, I don’t have a great need for a case. I’d rather have those items in the drawer as oppose to having to store a case. Remember that a BBQ Tool Set is a great gift for Father’s Day, birthday, or housewarming.
